It’s a breathe-taking experience that extends for 16 days in Liwa. festival that come around once a year, one of the largest established motoring events in the middle east that is dedicated not only for motorsport events but also recognized as a unique gathering for those passionate about motor and bike racing, camping , adventures, dune bashing and more excitements within the desert of Liwa city “moreeb dune” in Abu Dhabi.

As a part of UAE 51 National day celebration, Liwa Sports club organizes UAE National Day Sport Festival 2022 in 2nd and 3rd of December.

The festival involves two competitions:

Day1:
•The freestyle drift
Time: sunset

Day2: 
•The car sand stunt

Time: sunset

The season starts from October until March

The drive takes place in the second week of January

The festival is organised by the Cultural Programmes and Heritage Festivals Committee Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council  and the Liwa sports club.

The festival includes plenty of activities like swimming competition, beach volleyball and beach football, as well as a number of exceptional heritage activities that are closely related to the marine environment, in addition to the sporting events and its valuable prizes,

The festival also offers a family fun and excitement experience, besides the traditional Market, children’s activities, heritage performances, and theatre competitions.
